Martin Bond is an advisor to the UK Government for the Global Entrepreneur Programme.
Martin Bond
Martin is a career banker, who has been based in the United Arab Emirates since 1998. Martin is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, and started his career with NatWest in London, working initially with large corporations in West London. He then had a stint in International Finance with responsibility for NatWest relationships in the Gulf region.
Martin was seconded to Emirates Bank in Dubai in 1998, where he developed his Arabic language skills. He moved into the private wealth management arena with Coutts & Company in the newly established Dubai office in 2000. He has since held senior positions with both Coutts and recently as a Director at Swiss bank UBS. Martin decided to leave banking in the summer of 2009 to focus on more entrepreneurial activities.
Having established his own consultancy company in Dubai, Martin is using his extensive knowledge of the Middle East region to assist corporate and individuals in doing business in the region. Martin is a Non-Exec Director of a company formation business in the UAE, and is an advisor to the UK Government for the Global Entrepreneur Programme.
Outside of work, Martin is a keen sportsman and marathon runner. He has raised significant sums of money for a variety of charities through adventure challenges in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
